How To Thrive As An Indie Author

Introduction

I have a list of things I want to achieve before I ‘kick the bucket’. A bucket list. Don’t most people?

Some of mine are:

Swim with sharks

Travel to Antarctica

Those are my personal ones. What are yours?

I also have an author / business bucket list:

Write a Childen’s picture book

Write a non-fiction book for authors

Well, welcome to one of those bucket list items.

Welcome to that non-fiction book for authors.

Welcome to Author Virtues, my non-fiction community, newsletter, blog, and book for authors.

My goal for this book, blog, and newsletter is to share the knowledge and expertise I’ve gathered and learned over my more than 12 year career as a bestselling indie author. I’ve been lucky, in that I get to do this full time, as a job, as my dream job, and I want to help you do the same.

My hope is that by the end of this book, you have the motivation and direction you need to fulfill your author bucket list and dreams and be a successful indie author with your own successful indie publishing business.

Over the course of this book, I’ll be sharing the ‘virtues’ you need to succeed as an author in the indie publishing industry. My wish is that you’ll be more motivated to finish that book, try different marketing tactics, spend more energy and time on your business to get to where you want to be.

Now, I know there a lot of experts out there, and I don’t want to make it sound like I’m ‘better’ than them. I'm also not just doing this for money. I’m just an author who has been around for a little while and seen some things. I’ve gotten my business to a point where I can relax a little and reach out and help others up the hill so they too can stand on the mountain beside me.

But if, at the end of this book, you still don’t have a single clue about what to do with your author business to get it to be successful, then I am always here to help.

I also offer one on one video consultations and mentoring sessions.

So if you're an indie author who is feeling stuck, thinks they suck at marketing, then send me an email. I can take a look at your business, your books, your social media, etc and give you the next steps and some tips to push you in the right direction.

The first hour is free, and then i charge $100 per hour after that.

My expertise is in fiction, but i can help authors in any genre because the virtues are pretty much the same.

To book a session, email me at llhunter@llhunterbooks.com with some information about yourself, your books, and what you'd like help with.

Let's take the next step together. After all, i'm not about gatekeeping here. I want us all to succeed.

Join my Author Virtues Facebook community. This is a place i'd like to grow where authors can come ask questions, share their books, and encourage each other.

The book is a work in progress, but i'm hoping to hopefully have it out sometime next year. (I'll be working on it between fiction projects).
